    Destinations - Bandhavgarh
Bandhavgarh is located in the north eastern border of Madhya Pradesh, the central state of India. It lies in the Umaria-Shahdol district surrounded by Satpura mountain range. The altitude is between 410 m and 810 m. The mountains of Bandhavgarh range are generally composed of sandstone. The soil is generally sandy to sandy-loam. Bandhavgarh is believed to be the original home of the white tigers. As history records, Bandhavgarh was the hunting ground of the Rewa Maharaja. The old fort is the standing sign of this and surprisingly the forts still dominates the forest.
